Hamilton refuses to be upset by Marko’s ‘disrespectful comments’
Formula One legend Lewis Hamilton has vowed not to be upset after comments by Red Bull’s Helmut Marko many pundits deem disrespectful.
Marko questioned Hamilton’s performances following a rather poor outing by the British driver at Imola where he finished in a rather shocking 13th position.
After the race, Marko bluntly remarked: “I mean, he was lapped by us, so, maybe he should have stopped last year.”

Reacting to Marko’s comment, Hamilton said he would dig deep and come out in flying colours in subsequent races.
The 7-times champion however did not appreciate the comments.
“Certain comments, some disrespectful and I think for me, I’ll take that as fuel. I’m putting that into the pod and I’m going to turn that into a positive and I’m going to come back stronger.”
“We are going to come back stronger as a team. Four bad races or five, six, seven, ten bad races aren’t going to stop me from doing what I love doing. It’s not going to stop me in my tracks. I’ve been racing 29 years and I’ve had way more difficult times than this and I’ve bounced back,” Hamilton said.
